As community members of the Grand Junction area. We understand that machines aren't everyone's thing. We also know that driving a machine around isn't the only thing to do around here. With thousands of hiking trails throughout the valley, we want to offer our guests and community the chance to get out and experience the beautiful area in every way possible. Grab some comfortable hiking shoes, snacks and your Camelbaks. Let's go get a breath of fresh air, enjoy some peace and quiet, and see some of the most incredible views that Grand Junction, Colorado has to offer. A paradise for hikers of all skill levels.
If you are comfortable with the ride we can take you to plenty of small hiking trails in a RZR during one of our guided tours for example a ride through Bangs Canyon to hike the infamous "Lemon Squeeze", as well as Mica Mines and Rough Canyon Trail Heads.

Liberty Cap Trail

Trail Difficulty: Moderate 13 miles (5 hrs R.T.) Elev. 4,777'–6,552' Shortly after starting the Liberty Cap hike it starts to get really steep for two miles. Then flattens out to sagebrush flats. Enjoy native wild flowers along the way while bird watching and enjoying natures beauty.
Ute Canyon
Trail Difficulty: Moderate 11 miles (4-5 hrs R.T.) Elev. 5,545'–6,423' Trails take you along scenic edges, natural arches, and scenic redrock cliffs. The Ute Canyon Trail is a 11 mile lightly trafficked out and back trail located near Whitewater, Colorado that features a river and is rated as moderate. The trail offers a number of activity options and is accessible year-round.

Bangs Canyon Trail Head
Mica Mine
Trail Difficulty: Easy 2.6 miles (2-3 hrs R.T.) Elev. 6,043'–6,582' Add-On RZR or JEEP Tours Available Take the time to enjoy the red cliff walls that line this pretty canyon. You'll soon come to some outcrops of white quartz. This trail is family friendly for all ages and dog are also able to use this trail but must be kept on leash.
***If you're feeling up to a challenge the "Lemon Squeeze" is a fun, narrow climb that breaks off of the Mica Mines trail and puts you on top of the Monument for miles of gorgeous views. Lemon Squeeze Trail Difficulty: Strenuous Rough Canyon
Trail Difficulty: Hard 4.5 miles (2-3 hrs R.T.) Elev. 5,480'–6,178' Add-On RZR or JEEP Tours Available This trail drops you into a beautiful canyon. The trail isn't too technical but it is energy sapping as it requires a lot of scrambling up and down over boulders as you are actually hiking through a creek bed for the spring runoff.

Trail Difficulty: Easy 2 miles (1 hr R.T.) Elev. 5,589'–5,788' Look over the Canyons Rim to see Window Rock and the open valley of the Mesa area. Nice short trail with good overlooks into Monument Canyon. Family friendly trail that is suitable for all ages.
Black Ridge Trail
Trail Difficulty: Moderate 5.5 miles (3 hrs R.T.) Elev. 5,796'–6,751' From the "Organ Pipes" in Wedding Canyon, to seeing groups of Bighorn Sheep and Deer Black Ridge Trail is a 5.5 mile moderately trafficked out and back trail located near Fruita, Colorado that offers scenic views and is rated as moderate. The trail offers a number of activity options and is best used from May until September and is dog friendly while on a lease.

Trail Difficulty: Moderate 3.3 miles (2 hrs R.T.) Elev. 4,676' to 5,592' Upper Rim Trail Trail Difficulty: Moderate 8.5 miles (6 -7 hrs R.T.) Elev. 5,576'-6,034' Explore the views of Orchards & Vineyards from 1000' above the valley in Palisade. Palisade Rim Trail is a 3.3 mile heavily trafficked out and back trail located near Palisade, Colorado that features a river and is rated as moderate. The trail offers a number of activity options and is best used from April until October. Dogs are also able to use this trail.

Riverfront Trail
Trail Difficulty: Easy
1-24.5 Miles Along the Colorado River there are 24 miles of paved paths, perfect for walking, biking (including e-bikes except at the Audobon section of the trail), even rollerblading. Grand Junction's Riverfront Trail makes it possible to get from Downtown Grand Junction, all the way to Loma, over 20 miles away, without ever getting on a major roadway. And the best part is, there is plenty to do along the way of this paved scenic trail. From birdwatching and fishing to dining and craft beverage sipping, to art and wildlife gazing, all can be experienced at a leisurely pace any time of day or night.

Serpents Trail

3.5 miles (3-4 hrs R.T) Elev. 5,050' - 5,840' Also known as "The crookedest road in the world." Featuring 16 switchbacks through Wingate Sandstone. Built in the 1900's & used as the main road in 1950's. Serpents Trail is a 3.5 mile trail located near Grand Junction, Colorado that features beautiful wild flowers and is rated as moderate. The trail offers a number of activity options and is accessible year-round.

4 miles (4 hrs R.T.) Elev. 4,852'-6,723' Northwest of Palisade with a 1900' climb off of the roadway. It is the peak of the Book Cliffs with plenty of things to see like Petroglyphs and an old coal mine, along with outstanding views of the Grand Valley, from Palisade to Loma.
